Indian Point was a nuclear power energy generation facility located in Buchanan, New York. The facility shut down in April 2021 and the current owner's plan is to decommission the center. Emergency planning procedures are still in effect and residents should understand how to prepare themselves as best they can for any kind of radiological emergency.
