The policy of the Village as it relates to its communications is to not endorse or actively promote any organization for which the Village does not have a contractual relationship, membership, or is a partnering government agency. Examples of such include but are not limited to:
- We contract with North East Special Recreation to provide community-based therapeutic recreation programs to Briarcliff residents.
- We are members of the Briarcliff Manor Chamber of Commerce, and from to time, may promote their programming, or events for which we cosponsor. The same would go for Sustainable Westchester, in which the Village has an active membership.
- Partnering with Government Agencies (School District, County, Town, etc.) for information relevant to the entire community - e.g. voting on the school budget, and transportation survey conducted by the County.
We are not actively promoting in the news or otherwise, organizations that do not have a direct relationship with the Village. No commercial, partisan, or political communications are sent via communications.
